It is with great amazement that not only did we last through the start-up phase of any small business, but we have since matured and become more adaptive in today’s changing markets. Meridian West’s success doesn’t hinge on one person or one client; rather, our relationship-based business cultivates quality results while accommodating our clients’ individual needs. It is our continued goal to make our client’s jobs easier and help build their business. This is evident by the fact that more than half of our clients have been working with us for 10+ years, and more impressive, five of our clients have been with us for nearly all 20 years.

20 Fun Facts about Meridian West
Meridian West was started in 2001 by friends who worked together for a large DoD contractor and pioneer of the JOC/SABER world.
We have officed in three different locations since inception. In the Fall of 2017, we moved from a brick-and-mortar office to working remotely. This move has proven successful and has resulted in increased profitability and greater flexibility and happiness for our team. Plus, once COVID hit in 2020, we were already effectively working from home, meaning the pandemic had minimal impact on our business model.
Our biggest single win is a $560M privatization contract and our largest IDIQ win was a $1B multiple award!
Back in the day when printed hard-copy proposals were required, we used to bribe the FedEx driver with snacks—who doesn’t love Girl Scout Cookies?!?
“All-nighters” are rare nowadays; however, in the past, we’ve had many 24-hour days back-to-back showing our craziness and/or willingness to help clients anytime needed, you be the judge!
We haven’t always been an exclusively female office.
We only take on 2-4 new clients a year. Why is that? Because our existing clients keep us busy with repetitive work.
Amy and Dixie are skilled at throwing themed, office dress-up, birthday parties for our “peeps”! Those were the good ol’ days.
Our talented proposal team maintains an astounding 60% average win rate on more than 100 proposals completed annually – that’s a lot of proposals going out the door every year!
We once set up a college football viewing area to ensure proposal progress was not hindered by a big Auburn football game.
You don’t have to be crazy to work for us – we’ll train you!
We’re VERY knowledgeable in the difference between an engineer fold and an accordion fold…and have the paper cuts to prove it!
We are strategic in working with clients in different geographic regions and/or small business set-aside markets so our clients don’t compete with each other. This is actually a huge benefit for clients!
We have a couple of runners on our team. Meridian West once even sponsored a Ragnar team.
We have approximately 25 ongoing clients at any given time, most of which are repeat small business owners.
Every year we have a retreat for some fun and team building. We’re all looking forward to a warm retreat in 2021!
Our favorite meal when we used to get together was tacos, margaritas and cake. Once our office of 10 employees downed a cake made for 100 people!
