Consultant Spotlight: Dixie Casasola

Dixie Casasola, Proposal Consultant and Proposal Manager, proposal writer employee spotlight

It’s hard to believe, but Dixie celebrated her Sweet 16 “workiversary” with Meridian West this month! Managing and writing proposals has taught her how to stay organized, meet deadlines and most importantly, remain (not-so) cool under pressure.

She understands and maximizes the consultant role and loves starting a new proposal. Dixie has successfully managed proposals for IDIQ contracts—JOCs, SABERs, MATOCs, MACCs, SATOCs, etc. as well as all types of design-build and design-bid-build projects. Outside of the construction industry, she has also lent her proposal-management skills to procurements for valet parking, transcription, librarian, information technology (IT) and life-support services, to name a few. Shortly put—she has a whatever-it-takes attitude and is always willing to jump in!

Dixie’s Deets…

Dixie Casasola, proposal consultant and her daughter
  • She has been working on remodeling her home for the past five years, where she quickly discovered that she is waaay better at meeting proposal deadlines than construction milestones, so do NOT ask her to be your Project Manager!

  • She strives to live a holistic and mindful lifestyle, but has yet to kick her sugar addiction, so the way to her heart is still through dark chocolate.

  • Her happy place is hiking in the mountains and spending time connecting with Mother Earth to let that shit go!

  • Her pride and joy is her 17-year old daughter who will graduate from high school in May of 2020—Go Huskies! Dixie and her daughter enjoy traveling, hiking and volunteering and are advocates for ending the stigma against mental health.

  • She swears that the best company and client strategies happen while running with her BFF down Big Cottonwood Canyon.
